Following his graduation with a Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Leeds, John worked as an examiner in the Electrical Division at the UK Patent Office. He has substantial experience in reviewing invention submissions, drafting and prosecution of patent applications, assessing risk of infringement, licensing and in handling patent oppositions.As a consultant with Tomkins, John specialises in the protection and enforcement of patents in all electrical, electronic, software and mechanical disciplines.
