Naoise holds a B.A. (Mod) and M.A. in Genetics from Trinity College Dublin, where his studies focused on molecular biology, biotechnology and bioinformatics. He also holds a M.Sc. in Multimedia Technologies from Trinity where his thesis explored the growing relationship between life science research and emerging ICT technologies. In addition, he holds a further M.Sc. in Intellectual Property Management from Queen Mary College, University of London and is an Irish Registered Trademark Agent.He has a number of years' industry experience spent as a software engineer, where he developed database-driven web applications. He also has previous experience in his current field, having worked for one of Australia's leading patent attorney firms, where he handled ICT, mechanical and biological inventions. More recently, he was employed in the Technology Transfer Office of Trinity College Dublin, where he managed an IP portfolio across a wide range of technologies. During this time, he gained practical licensing experience as well as an appreciation for the intellectual property generation lifecycle in the university context.
